Most authors fail to crowdfund their books...

Only 1 in 3 authors will successfully crowdfund their book on Kickstarter and even fewer will reach their goal on IndieGoGo.

Why do so many authors fail?

Until recently, there hasn’t been a lot of support for authors to crowdfund their books on Kickstarter and IndieGoGo.

Marketing and PR folks generally want more money than authors can afford so most crowdfunding authors are bootstrapping their campaigns with a lot of hope and a little bit of luck.

There’s no need to rely on luck for your book’s crowdfunding campaign when you can strategically plan all of your marketing efforts.

Does this sound familiar?

    • You want to crowdfund your book, but don’t want to beg your friends and family for money?
    • You’re not sure what content to put on your campaign page to convince someone to pre-order your book.
    • You’re feeling way outside of your comfort zone admitting that you need outside funds to make your book dreams come true.
    • You think you know everything that’s involved but want someone to answer your questions as you build your content and campaign..
    • You want to reach your crowdfunding goals and fully fund your book the FIRST time.

Because you know that authors are successfully crowdfunding their books—it’s a model that does work—you just need the right ingredients.

The key to successfully crowdfunding your book  lies in audience growth and engagement and I’m going to help you with both.

Who am I to teach you how to crowdfund your book?

Hi, I’m Lisa!

When I first set out to Kickstart my book in 2016, there were tons of blogs discussing Kickstarter for comic books and table top games, but none for fiction books or children’s books.

I saw my fellow authors making basic mistakes that had huge implications for their crowdfunding campaigns.

I knew that I could help them figure out how to get their readers over to Kickstarter and IndieGoGo to support their campaign.

I’ve helped countless authors by posting helpful articles, sharing tips in my newsletter, and creating videos on YouTube to help more authors successfully crowdund their books on Kickstarter and IndieGoGo.

"Yay for Lisa for being the best consultant ever! I couldn't have done it without her!"

Introducing a new way to take a course...
course + coaching

I have coached authors since 2017 and have helped them successfully crowdfund their books on Kickstarter and IndieGoGo.

Some of those authors took my comprehensive course and some were individually coached by me through private sessions.

Over the years, I’ve discovered that some authors would really benefit from having access to the course material AND the coaching.

The course students had the benefit of having ALL of the information I could give them in the course, but were missing the individual attention and support I provided in coaching sessions.

My 1:1 clients had great support, but I couldn’t cover everything they needed to know to about crowdfunding in our limited time together.

I’m offering a special opportunity to get enroll for access to the comprehensive course AND receive 4 weeks of group coaching so that you receive the SUPPORT you need while planning your campaign.

What You'll Get

You get absolutely everything in the Crowdfunding for Authors Course which includes:

    • 25 video tutorials cover the fundamentals of crowdfunding on Kickstarter and IndieGoGo from conception to fulfillment.
    • Immediate access to the course so that you can work at your own pace before the group coaching begins.
    • Weekly email reminders to keep you accountable and on track to reach your goals.
    • Printable workbook to guide you through the course materials.

In addition to the comprehensive tutorials, you’ll also get intensive support as you create your campaign.

And even more good stuff…

4 Weeks of Group Coaching

How does it work?

    • Group coaching sessions will be held (final dates TBD): April 6 – May 1, 2020.
    • For four weeks, you have access to me within the group to answer your questions, provide additional training on a particular topic, or provide feedback on any part of your campaign.
    • During the group coaching period, you will submit any and all questions to me and I will organize my answers and record a massive, yet still organized, video coaching session each Friday.
    • All group coaching videos are recorded and stored within the course itself so you can always reference them later.
    • You can post links to your draft campaign for group comment and feedback.
    • All content created during the group coaching sessions will be housed within the course itself (on Teachable), so you don’t need to join an additional group. Everything will be kept in one place for your reference.

Expectations of group members

    • Post questions, comments, and provide feedback to fellow group members during the 4-week period, April 6 – May 1, 2020..
    • Maintain integrity and professionalism with other group members.
    • Support other group members by sharing their campaign launches and they will, in turn, support you.
    • If you’re not interested in group support or interaction but still want to take the course, I suggest you purchase the course without the group coaching here.

It’s time to get your book into the hands of your readers—your biggest fans

What would crowdfunding your book mean to you?

Would it lead to:

Creating a higher quality book because the illustrations, printing, or editing costs are already paid for?

Proving to yourself (and others) that your book is worth reading?

Printing more books because you have readers who are eager to buy?

Having more book reviews on Amazon and Goodreads from your backers?

Creating a loyal fanbase who will help you spread the word about your book to their friends and family?

Increasing your confidence because you demonstrated that there is a viable market of readers who want to read your book?

Creating more books in a shorter timeline because you don’t have to wait and recoup the expenses from this book?

Questions and Answers

Q: Is this a live course or a pre-recorded course?
A: It is a pre-recorded course with video trainings, worksheets, and how-to guides that is available for you to work at your own pace.

Q: How much does the course + group coaching cost?
A: Students have lifetime access to the course (valued at $397)+to the Crowdfunding Vault (valued at $99), plus 4 weeks of group coaching (valued at $796), expert feedback, and support  all for $697. A savings of $592 when you enroll in this course+group coaching program vs. if all elements are purchased separately. (+VAT, if applicable).

Q: How long will it take me to go through this course?
A: Watching and listening to the videos will only take a few hours but implementing the strategies, designing the content, and videos for your campaign will take much longer. You should set aside a few hours each day during the pre-launch phase to work exclusively on your campaign content and strategy.

Q: Can you guarantee my book is successful on Kickstarter or IndieGoGo?
A: No, and nobody can guarantee that, so don’t believe anyone who makes false promises. What I can guarantee is that you will be fully satisfied with the content in the course. I stand behind my work 110% and offer a 30-day money back guarantee.

Q: What if I don’t want the group coaching?
A: That’s totally cool! If you don’t want the group coaching, then you can buy the course without it here: https://lisa-ferland.teachable.com/p/crowdfund-your-book
